Playing for hire

Am I for hire for parties? Of course I am! After all, I play in bars for a living (with the odd concert here and there. Sometimes very odd.)

I play on my own or as part of a duo, a trio (my favourite), or a quartet, usually with bass and drums, perhaps with a guitar or adding a singer or a sax…

We play well and we make it fit.

There’s no mystery to it. Choose the right musicians and have a good time. It never fails.

And then there’s the grander parties for the kings and queens, presidents and prime ministers, and my favourite, for the wedding of Diana Krall and Elvis Costello, which was held at Elton John’s house.
